Langtang Valley Trekking
Langtang Valley Trekking
We suggest a 9 day approach to the heart of Langtang Valley. From Langtang village or Kyangjin Gomba there are several alternatives for returning. It is possible to trek back to Dhunche in only 3 days because much of the route is downhill, but if you have basic mountaineering skills (and good weather), we can cross Ganja La into the Helambu. A third alternative is to trek back to Syabru, then to cross into Helambu via Gosainkunda.

Langtang Trek
Langtang Trek
Langtang and Helambu is the third most popular trekking route in Nepal. Located in central Nepal, north of Kathmandu, the area offers a multitude of trekking destinations, all accessible without flights. The three major areas are Langtang, Gosainkund and Helambu, and these can be combined in many different ways to make treks from 7 to16 days long. Langtang is a narrow valley that lies just south of the Tibetan border. It is sandwiched between the main Himalayan range to the north and a slightly lower range of snowy peaks to the south. Langtang Lirung (7246m) dominates the valley to the north; Gang Chhenpo (6388m) and Naya Kangri (5846m) lie to the south; and Dorje Lakpa (6966m) protect the east end of the valley. The area was designated as Nepal's first Himalayan national park in1971. A visit to the Langtang Valley offers an opportunity to explore villages, to climb small peaks and to visit glaciers at a comfortably low elevation. Because there are good opportunities for moderate climbing excursions, you should allow a few extra days for exploration. According to legend, a lama following a runaway yak discovered the valley. Hence the name - Lang is Tibetan for yak and tang (more correctly dhang) means to follow. Yaks still live in the valley, but they now share it with trekkers. This high and isolated region is inhabited by Tamangs whose religious practices, language and dress are much more similar to those of Tibet than to the traditions of their cousins in the Middle Hills. You can vary the Langtang trek by visiting the holy lakes of Gosainkund at 4300m. Thousands of Hindu pilgrims visit the lakes during a full-moon festival in August. The lake is also sacred to Buddhists. Helambu, about 75km north of Kathmandu, is an area inhabited by Sherpas, but their language, culture and dress are very different from those of the Solu Khumbu Sherpas. Unfortunately the accessibility of Helambu has created an influx of tourists who have encouraged begging, the sale of 'genuine antiques' aged over the family fireplace, and several incidents of theft. But with care this is a rewarding place to visit. You can include Helambu in a Langtang trek, either via Gosainkund or by crossing the 5106m Ganja La. This is only a spring trek as in winter the high routes and Langtang are usually snow-covered and can be difficult or impossible, and often dangerous. There are two versions of the Helambu trek, but the best is to make a loop from the edge of the Kathmandu Valley, at Sundarijal, going through Chisapani, Kutumsang, Tharepati, Tarky Gyang and then treking back down the ridge through Sermathang to Melamchipull Bazaar. Upper Dolpo
Trekking : Makalu
Makalu Base Camp and Sherpani Col Makalu is the 5th Highest mountain in the world and this is near by the top of the world (Mt.Everest).This region is blessed with an incredible diversity of natural beauty and culture. Due to its isolation and lack of tea houses this area still receives few trekkers. Gurung, Rai & Sherpa are the main habitants in this area. Walking north of the Arun River to Sedua and then crossing Barun La (4110m.) into the upper Barun Khola valley for a close look at Makalu. This trek is not difficult on till Makalu base Camp and same way retron back to Tumlingtar. Sherpani col, west col is highest trekking rote 6100m.for this trekking you need experience sirdar and shrepa.because west col and Amphulapcha 5800m. is very challenging pass. But you will have fantastic view of Mountain, Glacier Lake and Hungu valley. Than you trek continues khumbu region and you will pass throw shrepa village and Lukla. Also you can do hungu valley, via Mera-la and Mera peak to Lukla for this trip you need fully camping trek, sirdar, Sherpa, cook and porter. Also you need fully climbing gears like, plastic shoes, crampons, Ice-Ax, Rope, Ice-screw, snow-Va.
Annapurna Base CampTrekking : Annapurna Annapurna Base Camp The route to the Annapurna sanctuary (Annapurna Deuthali in Nepali), the site of the Annapurna South Face Base Camp, is a spectacular short trek. Though it has some steep climbs, the trek is not difficult, and traverses a variety of terrain, from lowland villages and rice terraces to glaciers, with outstanding high mountain views. This is a fine opportunity to surround your self with Himalayan peaks in a short time, without having to contend with the altitude and flight problems of the Everest region. You can make the trek from Pokhara to Annapurna Base Camp and back in as few as 10 or 12 days, but it is best to allow two weeks to fully appreciate the high altitude scenery. A diversion to Ghorapani on the return route provides a view of Dhaulagiri from Poon Hill. Walk through villages then, climb through Rhododendrons forests into the Ghorepani and Annapurna Sanctuary, a valley surrounded by high Himalayan peaks. Great opportunity to get into the mountains without the altitude problem of the Mount Everest region. |

Annapurna Trekking (2nd Popoular Trek in Nepal)
Trekking: Annapurna
Central Nepal is dominated by the Annapurna Himal which rises above the town of Pokhara. There are three major trekking routes in this region - to Jomsom, to the Annapurna Sanctuary and a circuit of the entire Annapurna massif. Pokhara is also a good starting place for a number of short treks of one to four days duration. About two-thirds of the trekkers in Nepal visit the Annapurna region: the area is easily accessible, teahouses are plentiful in the hills and the treks here offer a good range of scenery - high mountains, forests and villages. No matter where you trek in the Annapurna region, you will eventually pass through Pokhara, the main city in central Nepal. The trek to Jomsom begins with a short bus journey from the town and the Annapurna Circuit begins and ends here. The town is known for its shops, inexpensive hotels and restaurants, and for its spectacular mountain panorama which includes the Annapurnas, Machhapuchhare and Dhaulagiri. Pokhara, being at a lower elevation, is warmer then Kathmandu.
