Chulu East

This is basically a trek around Annapurna peaks with an ascent of a technically straightforward peak, Chulu East at 6200 meter. Situated high above the Manang valley the summit of Chulu east offers a breathtaking view of Annapurna , Gangapurna, Glacier Dome, Dhaulagiri , Tilicho and Manaslu peaks. Starting the trek from Besisahar after an approximately 7hrs drives from Kathmandu; the trail ascends gradually along the Marshyangdi river valley and eventually leads to the village of Pisang where we leave the main trail and head up the Chulu East base camp. Fully fit and acclimatized, we then attempt Chulu east. Following an ascent we rejoining the main trail and head towards Kali Gandaki valley crossing a high Thorong La pass at 5416 meter and make final descent to Jomsom and take a flight to Kathmandu via Pokhara An opportunity to ascend a technically straightforward peak, a classic trek around Annapurna passing through fascinating villages of ethnic groups encountering a high passes are the major highlights of this trip. Those who, have a previous experience of walking on the mountain path and is physically fit can chose to do this trip anytime in March to May and September to November.

ITINERARY OF CHULU EAST PEAK :

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and met our staff and transfer to hotel
Day 02: Kathmandu FREE day (preparation for expedition)
Day 03: Drive to Besisahar (820m.) by bus.
Day 04: Trek to Khudi (790m.)
Day 05: Trek to Bahundanda (1310m.)
Day 06: Trek to Jagat (1343m.)
Day 07: Trek to Dharapani (1946m.)
Day 08: Trek to Chame (2685m.)
Day 09: Trek to Pisang (3200m.)
Day 10: Trek to Chulu (3500m.)
Day 11: Trek to Yak Kharka (3750m.)
Day 12: Trek to Chulu East Base Camp (4200m.)
Day 13: Trek to High Camp (5200m)
Day 14: Summit Chulu East Peak (6200m.)
Day 15: Reserve day
Day 16: Trek to Manang (3511m.)
Day 17: Trek to Thorong Phedi (4427m.)
Day 18: Trek to Muktinath (3694m.) via Thorong La (5416m.)
Day 19: Trek to Jomsom (2713m.)
Day 20: Jomsom - Pokhara - Kathmandu by flight and transfer to hotel.
Day 21: Kathmandu : Visit major world heritage site in Kathmandu valley.
Day 22: Transfer to International airport to catch your onwards flight.

For Camping Trek :

Including all high quality camping equipments and tents such as Two Men Tent, Kitchen Tent, Dinning Tent, Toilet Tent, Tables, Chairs, Mattresses, Hot Water Bags, Pillows, Inner Sheet etc
Everyday three times meals per day while trekking, which will be prepared by our very professional kitchen crew

For Lodge-to-Lodge Trek :

Accommodation and foods as available on the local lodges on the way while trekking.

07. National Park Permit Fee.
08. Chulu Peak climbing permit fee.
09. Guide, porters and their daily wages, insurance with all necessary lodging - fooding arrangements.

02. Expenses of personal nature such as bottled drinks, mineral water, laundry and etc.
03. Meals while staying on the hotels in Kathmandu (only breakfast is included along with accommodation).
