Mera Peak Climbing

Mera Peak

Mera Peak is the highest of the permitted "TREKKING PEAKS". The trek begins by flying into the heart of the Himalayas to the village of Lukla or we may start it from Jiri too. From here we cross a high pass into a remote valley and steadily acclimate as we move toward base camp. We establish a high camp on the glacier from where we attempt the summit. We will review and practice glacier travel and crevasse rescue techniques as well as basic snow climbing techniques from our high camp while we acclimate. Mera Peak (6421m) is the highest of the designated Nepalese trekking peaks and although the ascent presents no technical difficulty, the view from the summit is believed to be one of the most outstanding in the entire Nepal Himalayas. These programs allow sufficient time for any reasonably physically fit person to make a comfortable ascent of this most spectacular of the Nepalese trekking peaks. If climber feel that I want to make this trek more challenging than they can choose the another route over high and strenuous Amphu Labtsa pass at 5787 meter which longer as usual route of Mera Peak. We will have excellent views of Makalu , Everest, Lhotse and other spectacular peaks. This is a great trek and climb in an ancient land where Sherpas still graze yaks, cook on yak dung fires and live a very simple life. Porters to make our trip more enjoyable and culturally interesting will carry our food and equipment. This is the perfect trip for the mountaineer who wants to make the most of his Himalayas adventure by living in unique culture and climbing in traditional Himalayas alpine style. Best time for doing this trip would be from September to November and March to May.
